Ownership verified by KD U.V. Drop-in

Avg.Rating: star star star star star

Strengths:

365nm "black" light.

Weaknesses:

None that are apparent.

Summary:

This is the first 365nm U.V. drop-in that I've bought, the others have been in the 395-405nm range. The difference is very clear. There is little visible light, the others were bright with a strong - about 200 Lm - this one is very dim in comparison. The light activates GITD items well and gives a true 365nm beam but with virtually no throw but that fits it's use very well, looking for forged notes and seeing the world in a different light - literally. A FIVE STAR DROP-IN if you use fits it's performance.

Strengths:

365nm "black" light. Best ready made UV I've tried.

Weaknesses:

None that are apparent. On the expensive side but the performance outweighs the cost.

I'm using it in a Solarforce L2P host with 2 extension tubes using 6x3v CR123A's and a Non Reflective glass lens. I've just bought another one for a back-up.
Ownership verified by KD Great drop-in, very little visible light.

Strengths:

Very strong uv output, uv-reactive objects respond from a decent distance. Against non-reactive objects, there is very little visible light unlike many 395nm lights.

Weaknesses:

Price is a bit high.

Summary:

365nm lights are much more expensive than 395nm, but if you want a nice clean UV, the extra price is worth it. This drop-in has been subjectively tested with 1 and 2 Panasonic 18650 cells. Using a higher voltage generates marginally better output. I do not have an extension tube for my flashlight, so it will be used with only 1 cell. Performance with 1 cell is still very nice.

Strengths:

Awesome value for the money. Seems to be true 365nm.

Weaknesses:

No weaknesses really. Just make sure to wrap your p60 in foil or aluminum can strips.

Summary:

Very little visible light. When it fluoresces something it's super cool. I use it to find pet urine on the carpet and it finds it no problem. Could be more powerful/floody, but it definitely works and I'm glad I bypassed the 395nm stuff altogether and got this. It is so cool that it does make me curious about the much more expensive LEDengine drop in. I wasted money and got a 2x 18650 tube. Don't make the same mistake. I ended up just using it in a Solarforce L2 single 18650 host. I noticed zero increased power using 2x 18650 cells.
