Ownership verified by KD brightness/current is way overrated, but still good.

Its a well built flashlight for the price and the output is still very strong. I bought this to replace my old 502b,which I lost.

While the listed specs and current draw were very attractive on the website, they did not pan out. my previous light had a xml2 drop in purchased from this site. That drop in drew over 1500ma from my batteries. This one only draws right over an amp. which means that the brightness output is around 500 lumens. Probably less bright than my old xml2-based unit. And this xp-l carried a price premium.

Also, the tailcapdoes s not allow tailstanding.
