Excellent output; fairly wide beam pattern with excellent distance throw. All steady modes are adjustable via stepless menu. All LED's are lit for every mode. Bigger than expected but should dissipate heat well. Will test for this later.

Was not sent lamp that was ordered. Was sent Manta Ray D003. Basically same lamp but not U2 as in ad. lamp is bigger/heavier than typical tri-LED lamp. Have not tested battery yet.

I like the beam pattern and output. No complaints other than I would of liked getting the XM-L2 U2 emitters as ordered. Emitters do look like XM-L2's. All said, one of these will make an excellent bar lamp. If I encounter no thermal issues I will recommend this lamp without prejudice. This is an initial review. 02/23/14
